Using the site

Everything here is free to play for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, embed or redistribute the simulations or any part of this site elsewhere, and you may not attempt to interfere with how the site runs or with other people's use of it.

What the simulations are

Each simulation is an interactive retelling of a real football match. The line-ups, goals and timings are factual. The outcomes produced once you begin making decisions are not: they are generated by the site and represent one possible version of events, not a claim about what would have happened.

Nothing on this site is a prediction, a forecast, a tip or advice of any kind, and it must not be treated as such or used as a basis for any decision with consequences outside the site.

Messages you send

If you send a correction, a suggestion or any other message, you allow it to be used to improve the site, including acting on a correction or building a match you suggest. No payment or credit is owed for a suggestion, and please do not send anything confidential.

Accuracy

Match records are compiled from public sources and checked before publishing, but no guarantee is given that every detail is correct or that the site will always be available or error-free.

Names and trademarks

Club names, competition names and player names are used descriptively, to identify real matches and the people who played in them. No crests, kits, badges, logos or likenesses are used. All trademarks remain the property of their owners, and no endorsement, affiliation or partnership with any club, league, competition or player is claimed or implied.

Advertising

This site carries third-party advertising. The presence of an ad is not an endorsement of the advertiser, and any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and them.

Liability

MatchRewrite is provided as it is, for entertainment. To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from use of the site or from reliance on anything published here.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The current version always appears on this page, and continuing to use the site means accepting it.
